URPUMA ECOTOURISM invites you to discover a newly
renovated trail, the Camino Sillu T’inkara, where the habitat of the
Jucumari, or Andean bear, can be observed.
You can also observe a
great diversity of bromeliads, bamboos, medicinal and ornamental
plants, and orquids You will also learn about the history and customs
of local communities and their traditional uses of natural resources.
We offer one and two day walks, starting out near
the town of Unduavi on the La Paz-Coroico road, continuing on to the
top of Sillu T´inkara Mountain and later passing through cloud forests
along the Choro Trail. The adventure finishes in the community of
Chairo in the Cotapata protected area. The tour includes
breakfast, lunch and dinner, local tour guides, porters, cooks and your
overnight stay in the Urpuma lodge.
